We Read "Crash Into Me" By Robinne Lee To See If It's Worth The Hype

Robinne Lee’s first book, The Idea of You, was a romance megahit that led to a film adaptation starring Anne Hathaway. Now, Lee has a new book out that’s verrrry different, so we had to get our hands on it.

Megan: I'm 40 years old, and I live in Brooklyn. I'm on a bit of a weird girl book kick lately, and I just devoured Sky Daddy by Kate Folk. It's about a woman who's sexually attracted to planes, but I found it really surprisingly wholesome.

Kristen: I'm a 28-year-old living in Kentucky. I'm obsessed with thrillers, especially anything by Lucy Foley or Ruth Ware. More recently, I've been reading The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice, and I'm currently on The Vampire Armand!

I ended up really enjoying the flashbacks because they were so much more relatable. As a young woman, Cecelia actually had to worry about things like paying her bills, which she very much is not worried about in the later sections. 

Throughout the book, Cecilia works on a photography project exploring what beauty means to a diverse group of women, but she doesn't include herself in this group. If I'm being totally honest, her project kinda had the vibes of a 2010s Dove commercial for me, but it did open up some interesting conversations.
